The Accident and Emergency Department (AED) of United Christian Hospital (UCH) was established in 1973. It is one of the large scale AED in Hospital Authority (HA) and has a daily attendance of about 400 cases. It provides 24-hour emergency medicine service and operates an Emergency Medicine Ward (EMW) with 20 beds. The service was provided by a professional workforce including about 40 doctors, 100 nurses, and other supporting staffs.
